Prohibited & Restricted Items

Under no circumstances should you send the items listed below through our service providers. These items are strictly prohibited and if you are found to have sent one or more of these items, you may be prosecuted. This could result in receiving a fine and/or imprisonment. Any items not packaged appropriately should also not be sent.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

All of the items listed below are strictly prohibited from shipment and must never be shipped through our services. Failure to abide with this demand may result in you being prosecuted by the relevant authorities and imprisonment and/or severe fines may arise. In no case will the available insurances cover any of the prohibited items listed below.

  • All living animals and/or creatures of every description
  • Human or animal remains or ashes
  • Illegal goods (contraband)
  • Firearms, weapons or any item than could be used as a weapon, explosive devices, ammunition, or any parts hereof
  • Imitation (replica) or toy firearms
  • Aerosol cans/sprays
  • Dangerous Goods of every description
  • Dry ice
  • Engines, generators, and gear boxes
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Life jackets
  • Food products of every description (whether perishable or not perishable))
  • Perishable goods such as, but without limitation, pharmaceutical products
  • Lithium batteries or products containing such batteries
  • Alcoholic beverages of every description
  • Furs and/or ivory or items made here from
  • Tobacco and tobacco products of every description
  • Automotive panels
  • Antiques
  • Fine Art. “Fine Art” means paintings, etchings, pictures, tapestries and other bona fide works of art, valuable rugs, statuary, marbles, bronzes, rare books, antique silver, manuscripts, porcelains, rare glass and bric-a-brac, collections of books, mixed periodicals, photographs, slides, clippings and other articles of a similar nature including furnishings
  • Deeds and/or securities and/or treasury notes and/or any other cash equivalents and/or tickets and/or vouchers and/or stamps and/or duty stamps and the like
  • Designs and/or patterns and/or plans and/or manuscripts and all other documents
  • Jewellery and/or watches of every description
  • Money and/or coins of every description
  • Precious Metals. “Precious Metals” means silver, gold, platinum, palladium, iridium, osmium, rhodium, and ruthenium
  • Precious Stones. “Precious Stones” means diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires
  • Semi-precious Stones. “Semi-precious Stones” means amethyst, aquamarine, aventurine, carnelian, garnet, lapis lazuli, opal, pearls, rose quartz, topaz and tourmaline
  • Any item that requires collection from an online auction website such as Grays Online
  • *We will not accept any materials and products that may be dangerous or hazardous to handling staff

    *We will not carry any substances classified as dangerous in the latest edition of the IATA publication

Also prohibited are: Shipments with inherent vice; Shipments which by their nature are likely to soil, impair or damage persons, merchandise or equipment; Goods the carriage of which is prohibited by law in the country of origin, transit or destination; Goods which attract excise duty or which require special facilities, safety precautions or permits.

It is the sender's responsibility to comply with current government regulations or laws applicable in each country. Not all commodities can be shipped to all countries.

PROHIBITED COUNTRIES

The following items are classed unsuitable for shipment by our service providers and are therefore restricted. Any of these items being sent may result in surcharges for returned item(s), delays or confiscation by authorities. No insurance claims or guarantees will apply to these items.

THESE ITEMS ARE SENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

  • Flat packed furniture - Items should be appropriately boxed with internal packaging and protection, particularly on corners
  • Glass, acrylic, mirrors, crystal, ceramic, fibreglass, porcelain, plaster, marble, china, stone, slate, resin, granite, carbon, concrete or any item containing these materials
  • Guitars (wooden or otherwise) or any other musical instrument (wooden or otherwise)
  • Monitors, computers and printers
  • Passports
  • Speakers & amplifiers
  • Televisions, plasma & TFT screens, monitors
  • White Goods; fridges, ovens, stoves, cook tops/plates, microwaves, dishwasher, washing machines, air conditioners etc.
